  Registering SpeechCAT 7 Online - Step by Step Instructions:

    Below are the step-by-step instructions on completing online registration. If you are not connected to the internet, or you do not have any way of accessing the internet on another machine, please call: 1-800-869-0569
If you are connected to the internet with your pc, this will be very quick.

1. Double click on the SpeechGate Registration icon.

Note: If you do not have the SpeechGate Registration icon on your desktop (main screen), you can find it on your hard drive here: C:\AudioScribe\SGAuth.exe

2. At the SGAuth Authorization Screen, on the first line type in your CD Key: the four-digit code which you were given (five digit if you are using an eval version).

3. Type your first and last name in the User Name field.

4. Your Site Code is in the next field (third line down).

5. You will now need to go to: www.audioscribe.com. On the front page, click the link to "Register Online". This will take you to the registration page

6. Enter your CD Key and User Name on the first two lines of the web page

7. The Site Code will come from the SpeechGate Registration window. You will need to enter it on the "Authorization code (Site Key)" line of the web page, without spaces (capital or lower-case letters are fine).

8. Click the Get Code button.

9. On the next page (it will look like the last page), look below the Get Code button to find your registration code.

*Note: If you do not see a code, please review the Common Errors*

10. Copy the registration code back to the last line of the SpeechGate Registration window (copy and paste will work).

11. Click the "Process Authorization" button.

12. You will receive a notification that "Authorization was Successful, Congratulations!"

13. Click on OK.

You have now successfully completed online registration.

Note:
    *This can be done 24 hours a day so there is no need to utilize phone support to register.

    *You can complete the registration on a separate computer if you do not connect your SpeechCAT system to the internet.

Troubleshooting: Common Errors, questions and Problems

    "Too Many Requests" You will see this error message if you have exceeded your allowed number of registrations and you will need to call AudioScribe. Please leave your registration web page open when you call and have your CD Key (customer number) ready..

    "Site Key is Invalid!" This means that the Site Key ("Site Code") was incorrectly entered. Please check what you typed against what you have as the Site Code on the registration window. Note: You will not have the letter O in the Site Code, please use the numeral 0 (zero). If you did not include a site code (left the 3rd line blank) you will also get this message.

    "An Error Occurred: A connection attempt failed (Warning: fsockopen)" This error is usually seen when there is a problem with the registration server (on our end). Please leave your registration web page open and call for registration.

    "The page cannot be displayed" This error could mean that you lost your internet connection.

    MSWINSCK Error Install this file then try to register again: MSWINSCK.exe

    Problems Registering Remote Scopist Make sure you are using the specific CD Key that you were issued for Remote Scopist.
